But does the pen have a social mission? I don’t know for others, but when I’m in a rush and popping by the stationary stand for a parity product, I care a lot about that 😏

Get in the habit of listening to the customer. More often than not they will tell you what they want, how they want it, for how long, and how much. What else could we need?

And there, just like that, is the heart and soul of the creative revolution--the freedom to literally speak to the heart and soul. That’s not speculative: your post got me looking up “famous ads for pens” -- https://www.pinterest.com/sdhat/fountain-pen-ads/

That said, it’s funny that even the terrific CA award winners in the category circa 90s (if my memory of the awards books is right) heavily relied on the epic sweep of the pen in history. Thinking that what really makes your lovely formulation more contemporary is the element of physicality. For a lot of reasons, getting the reader to “imagine doing” reflects how we live and buy.

Not the only door in, but a goody.
