A friend told me to think in sevens.
Meaning, it takes 7 calls or 7 emails to get a prospect to agree to a meeting.
It then takes 7 meetings to get to a deal.
Your results may vary.
But when I think about my career, “The Rule of 7’s” seems to apply to new business, existing business, and a host of initiatives with people and projects.
It’s a good rule to remind you of what’s required to succeed: persistence and patience.
I don’t know where you are on your journey of the sevens.
Maybe today is email 4. Maybe you’re lucky enough to be at call number 7.
