Baseball’s got data for days.

Nearly 300 stats across MLB: traditional, sabermetric, Statcast. Every angle of performance, measured.

And yet, I heard a new stat the other day.

It’s called G.L.U.E.

It stands for: Guy Lifts Up Everyone/Girl Lifts Up Everyone.

GLUE.

Baseball stat. Life stat.

Think about your GLUE.

Who’s the person in your life or work who’s there for everyone?

Who sees the glass half-full?

Who takes a bad situation and finds the upside?

The person who holds it all together and lifts everyone up with them.

Maybe you’re tracking other stats. Who has the money. Who has the title. Who has whatever’s left of the corner office these days. (Maybe it’s just an office.)

Either way. Those are ways of keeping score.

But there’s another one that also counts: GLUE.
