103 Bits of Wisdom from Kevin Kelly and One Bit of Wisdom from Me: Read His List.
Kevin Kelly is a marvelous writer. He makes complicated technology understandable. And he is a great student of human behavior. Periodically, he writes epic lists of wisdom. Here is his latest written yesterday, August 13th, on his 70th birthday. I’ll share five of my favorite bits of his wisdom if you’re a TLDR kind of person.
My top 5 favorites from Kevin’s list of 103:
1\ When you lead, your real job is to create more leaders, not more followers.
2\ Criticize in private, praise in public.
3\ Ask funders for money, and they’ll give you advice; but ask for advice and they’ll give you money.
4\ The biggest lie we tell ourselves is “I don’t need to write this down because I will remember it.”
5\ Actual great opportunities do not have “Great Opportunities” in the subject line.
There’s so much more. Link to Kevin’s wisdom here: https://kk.org/thetechnium/103-bits-of-advice-i-wish-i-had-known/
